Witches, evil queens, good wives + lion cubs,
If this is your first time here — welcome. If you have been here before, you know the drill.
For those just tuning in, Unlimited + Evermore is where we tell stories—through music, movement, and reflection. Some of those stories are shared through my daily dance party on Instagram, some live in the Weekly Tracks on my website, and some arrive in your inbox as part of this newsletter.
No matter where you found me, you are now part of the story, too. Before we get into this week’s Instagram chaos, two things:
1️⃣ The lesson plans I promised last week are still in progress. When they’re done, they will be posted on Teachers Pay Teachers for free. Knowledge is power. You don’t have to pay for power here.
2️⃣ Friendly reminder: Unlimited + Evermore exists to inspire your personal growth, not to serve as a professional blueprint. My ideas are mine, just as yours are yours.
Moving on. This week, we danced across the globe with contestants from the Got Talent franchise.
Check out the dance, vol 5 highlight reel on Instagram to run back this week’s mixed-media story. You can watch the full Got Talent auditions here. ✨
I learned an awful lot this week. Here were some of my noticings:
📌 I showed y’all a little leg. Really innocently — to let you know I’ve lost 40 pounds, and you went nuts! I didn’t know that’s all it would take to finally be seen. You want some leg? You’ve got it!
📌 Then we crossed the pond to London. When I showed y’all some British kids rallying for a sportsball game, you ate it up. You loved their war paint. You loved their fight song playing over what can only be described as an unintentional reenactment of England’s rise to power.
📌 We closed out the week in Detroit. I watched as interest faded. Maybe it felt easier to look away when a youth choir stood onstage rehearsing a scene about the life of Ruby Bridges.
💡 The most interesting part? How quickly y’all came back on Saturday when something else caught your attention. Were you staring or were you judging?
I want to be very clear about something: For the last 10 years, I have stared straight into the eyes of what many of you choose to look away from. Hitting pause on my career to recalibrate does not change that. In fact, it’s done the opposite. My purpose has never felt clearer.
Many of you know me personally. My integrity, my authenticity, and my fight are why you love me. Remember that time I fought loudly for you when you were backed into a corner?
I can’t help but wonder — why does my fight sit differently now that I am using it for myself and for people who don’t look like me?
As you read this next part, I want you to reflect on how little we actually know about each other, and why.
Think about how many times your unwillingness to receive my words has determined what I’ve been able to share with you. Think about your silence while you watched others silence me.
Now, think about your own story. Think about all of that magic hiding in the caverns of your mind that deserves to be seen. I want to listen — I always have! But I won’t anymore unless you’re willing to see me, too.
Because here is my truth: I have spent most of my life feeling afraid to speak in spaces that called themselves family. I will no longer sit in silent discomfort so that bullies can feel comfortable.
I know I can’t save the world, but I can teach you some stuff. I can also create a safe space for those of you who are willing to be a safe space for others. They used to pay me the big bucks to do both of these things! Read more about that here.
I built a whole world for us and the only thing I am asking for in return is kindness, curiosity, and connection.
If you looked away this week, I encourage you to look back. But not until Sunday, March 23📆 — some ideas are brewing that I need to put my full energy towards.
If it’s still easy to look away, I invite you to sit with that. The world is shifting, and none of us can afford to stand alone. Don’t be an island. Let’s rewrite our stories together?
The kettle is on. Hope to see you in two weeks. <3 Nic
